Great DVD deck for $350!
Great choice for DVD video player, awesome Pioneer quality, and it doesn't cost more than one of those BS Jensen or Dual or Phase Linear P'sOS.
Install is easy, (remember you need a separate power wire if you're in a GM vehicle) and you're in business.
Wish you could change the BG to an image or something, but I just turn the display off if I'm listening to music. Saves hours on the 100,000 hr lamp life... :) Also, it kinda sucks that it only reads dvd(-)r, instead of + .... Read more

careful!
This is a great item for the price. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. We had to take it to best buy to get it installed which i DO NOT recommend! It cost another $300 to have it installed! Great buy as long as you know how to install yourself! .... Read more

worked fine at first
i bought this unit from amazon months ago,installed it in my truck enjoyed the display,sound, having owned pioneer decks before,but was very dissapointed when the unit would change it's source option out of the blue while playing and this would keep on happening until i turned the unit off.Then it would start happening again occasionally while playing,can't be bothered to return it i think i will just try to get it repaired.i just thought it would be trouble free for a while longer than couple a .... LOVE IT! Bypass Safety lock-out instructions here
For the price, this is definitely one of the best non-nav DVD headunits out there. Pair this with the optional Bluetooth Adapter (CD-BTB200) and optional Ipod Adapter (CD-I200) and you have yourself a very complete system (minus Navigation).
For setting this up to view DVD's while driving (bypass safety lock-out), you'll need to get a standard 5-wire automotive relay and wire it up per these instructions:
1. connect "30" to the parking brake wire from the headunit
